BSM: Move and Inspire

These are the words that hang above the high school marching field. I really miss having Domi around in the evenings, but I know it's for a good cause. Last week, it was Parent Marching Night, in which parents, actually got out on the field, and 'marched' (ha!) after being taught a few marching steps by their children. It was quite a sight to see. Parents bumping into each other and we only marched, no playing was even involved. It was a fun evening.

I have a deeper appreciation for what these band students do.
They know how to move, and they truly inspire us all.

This shot below I chose as my BSM because I feel it shows the respect and closeness this marching band has.

What a special experience. I love your best shot, but the first one is my fave...LOVE the sky and the row of instruments on the ground :)

That last shot is special and I like the black and white. I think a lot of people don't understand the amount of work that goes in to being a member of a marching band. I watch the parades and am amazed every time I see a band go by. :)

Yes, that last shot does envoke a feeling of closeness. All the shots are great though.

I love all of those. People who watch from the stands have no idea how much effort and hard work go into making it all look easy. I admire kids who put their all into what they love!

Cool pics!! It's fun that they involve the parents. I know a lot of people make fun of "band geeks" (of which I once was) but it's truly a lot of hard work.

Yes, what a sense of comraderie (sp) in that last shot. I love it. The first shot is cool with the instruments lined up. That was the first thing I noticed.

I agree...that last one shows the feeling of connection they share! Reminds me of being in the color guard when I was in high school...I don't envy the heat he's been having to march in!!!

What a great idea to get parents involved. I love the last shot. The angle of the shot along with what they are doing really make it interesting. Great shots!

You always have such amazing photos. I love them all - but the last one is great! And I have the utmost respect for people in band...I can barely walk without an instrument!

The shoulder shot is defiantly a winner. Does make anyone want to be a part of that. I like the contrast of b/w.
