I think Ballet Folklórico is one of the most beautiful dances around. The bold and colorful dresses that seem to have endless layers always bring a smile to my face and reminds me of the festivities back home, but they are happening here in Austin with Cinco de Mayo around the corner.
However, the photo of the lady dropping her shopping cart in the grocery store to bailar (dance) to the Mariachis without a care in the world, while the rest of us in the produce section looked on, is the classic moment I captured this week.
For more best shots, dance on over to Mother May I.

She looks so happy. :)
I've never been to Austin, but it's on my list of places to visit.
What a gorgeous, gorgeous dress... and I love seeing all the joy spread around... even while shopping! WHew!
how lucky you were to have your camera to capture that great moment!
That is a fabulous shot! Looks like you got the hang of your new SLR - such great color. These colors are all around San Antonio right now as well.
Oh my goodness, those COLORS! Awesome capture! the true life doccumentary is fantastic, too.
Both of those pictures are great! I do love the second one.
Love them both--that second one is so funny...I would never be brave enough to do that! Great capture!
Love the colors of that dress !!
And how cool that there is someone playing guitar in the middle of the grocery store !!!
The dancer looks like a porcelain doll! Andrea, you caught the movement of her skirts just perfectly!
The lady dancing in the store...with her necklaces cat purse...of course she's dancing! A person like that is always dancing in her heart. She looks like a little girl :)
You captured two beautiful moments.
Great photos!!
This is one of the things I miss about San Antonio. (We moved to MI 4 years ago.)
Reminds me of FIESTA here is SA!
How fun....
How fun! I love the color and movement in the first shot - but that second shot is priceless! Good for her!
gorgeous!
The first photo is just gorgeous, of course. But I love the soul in the second one ...
